Tutored by eminent performers and scholars, Smt. D Pattammal has put to best use all her musical assets, throughout her life. Apart from the compositions which speak for themselves, she and her husband made the probably largest compilation of ragas through the book Raga Pravaham. We must remember that it was done at a time when the communication network and information technology was not as it is now. Nothing but passion for the art and selflessness could have been driving force.

Her contribution deserves a salute from present and future generation.
